[OOC] Virgil's prejudices aka Virgil can be a dick
So, I was reading up some of the Static comics and found that someone uploaded bits of the volume where Virgil discovers that Rick (the character Richie is based on) is gay. The scans in question are here.

Virgil does in fact, strive for the good in people! In a way, he still does and he's not going to attack or blacklist people in camp either. The "villains" I'm addressing mainly here (and I should have made this clearer) are primarily ones he knows and fought before, like Ivy and Harley. They had one episode together, but I don't think Virgil would look for the good in Harley and Ivy. As he said earlier, he won't bother them and let them be as long as they don't hurt any campers. Virgil doesn't always see a reason to attack people, even villains. I guess that bit about villains really applies to villains he knows personally (he had no problem with Lex Luthor because the only thing he knew about him was hearsay and Lex convinced him they were from alternate universes).
While I do like the comics (I haven't read that much of them personally because they're hard to find in Singapore) and often like to gauge Virgil's reactions from both the comics and the cartoon, I stick to the cartoon canon. Actually, why I considered Virgil to be open to different sexual orientations was the last bit of "Sons of My Fathers" where Virgil talked about cross-dressing guys to Mr. Foley. That pretty much clenched it for me (though it's not solid proof).
And, um, I just found this bit in the comics yesterday and I'm not fond of the idea of retcon (though if I have to, I will), I stuck with the TV interpretation (mostly because it leaves his sexuality up in the air, which makes it slightly easier to play him).
