I got digital cable for the apt. on Friday and I am never leaving the house again, doing anything remotely creative, or sleeping! If I did I might miss another awful Grace Jones video or perhaps one by Bob Seger's fat ass singing about repairing cars or some shit. There are so many channels and so little time. I can laugh insanely at 'Fast and The Furious" dialouge.."it don't matter if ya win by an inch or a mile, winning is still winning." Jackasses! Or check out whats going on on the Japanese/Russian/or Greek channels or the classic cartoon channel that plays weird Hanna-Barbara stuff from the sixties. It's all too much. I need to get a couple more TV's, so instead of changing the channel I can just turn my head. It would save so much time.
I was just at the bookstore and saw a book about the Yakuza and another about the history of piracy, both of which I wanted to get. However, I'm in the middle of 'Fast Food Nation' right now and steadily learning why I shouldn't eat at McDonalds. They make a lot of good points. Unfortunately, they also remind me how delicious McDonalds is sometimes. I spent Friday reading it while eating a #2 cheeseburger meal. It was really really good, just like the book said it'd be.
