Blarg. I'm such a abstract player. I do much better in the early game with territory and spacial management than in confined fighting situations. Strangely though, I know this from the fact that my KGS ranking is much higher than say... my ranking for being able to solve problems at goproblems.com

Also I tend to lose a lot of little fights against people ranked higher than me. Although I sometimes win despite this simply by managing the entire board better. It's good to know your weaknesses but I prefer to play and learn on my own than study. And Go IS a game of study. I can't remember what tesuji or tedomari or jigo means.

Although I have picked up a lot of terminology simply by watching other people play or listening to other peoples comments.

Atari - a group or piece is threatened with death
Seki - Dual life, neither group die
Aji - ummm it sort of means potential. If you have a big wall that provides "aji" it means highly theoretical territory you could conquer.
Sente- whoever has initiative. Sometimes it isn't clear who has sente. When one player is always responding to the other players moves, they obviously don't have sente.
Gote - giving sente to your opponent
