The reality is finally setting in that summer is winding to an end, and soon we'll all be starting school once again. I’ll admit, I’m slightly disappointed in summers end and relatively nervous for the school year ahead. Naturally, there’s the threat of more drama; which honestly, I think all Degrassi students are well equipped for…but this is one of the last summers/school years we’ll all spend together. This is really upsetting for me, at least. We won’t have these same relationships or bonds or whatever, like we had here at Degrassi. But I’m thinking too ahead of time, aren’t I? I think the Black & White affair is going to be the perfect end for summer, and start for a great school year.

So two days ago in fazed on Jay that he actually had to buy a tux to this black and white affair. I, who still hadn’t purchased my dress…told Jay he could come to the mall with me if he’d like. When we first got to the mall, we entered a very conservative, pricy boutique. The sales lady was very prim, and followed us around the entire store…obviously not trusting us. Apparently, Jay caught onto this as well and said, “Hey Em lets stuff the clothes in our pants and sell it on eBay.” His voice was relatively loud, and sarcasm lingered off ever word. The wretched-like sales lady was so shocked; I couldn’t help myself but respond, “Yeah! Great thing I wore sweatpants today.” So that was that. Emma Nelson was kicked out of her first store. The next store we went to was a very dark, with gray-purple lighting. There were matching dresses and tux’s laced with spider-web like mesh fabric. It was hideous. The sales lady here had horribly died black hair and about 50 piercings, seeming to weigh her down into an odd hunch. When she approached us, she started to flirt with Jay. I had to hold in my laughter…it was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. Then, in an attempt to get out of this, he said, “Hey Em…great sex last night. We’re still getting married, right?” Half laughing, I told the sales lady I was four months pregnant. She was so disappointed, I almost felt bad for her. The next store had normal clothes, at reasonable prices and we tried on a few dresses/tux. I’m proud to say, I’m probably the first one to see Jay in a tux. Things didn’t end so smoothly, though. When I came out of the dressing room to ask how I looked in a dress Jay started off with saying, “It reminds me why…” and then hesitated. Being the nosy Emma I am, I asked for what he was going to say…and he told me “It reminded him why he brought me down to the ravine.” It was slightly awkward after that; I won’t deny it.

Later on that night, I went to the Dot. I saw Paige, Marco & Craig. I couldn’t stay long, but I heard what happened to Dean. Paige, I’m really sorry…I hope you’re OK. Call me later.

Yesterday Liz invited Alex and I over. I brought over the booze Jay gave me and we got really wasted. In no state to drive, Liz called Jay to be our chauffeur. She did this partly to piss him off. Which, I don’t think it did, really. We decided to head down to Club One Two Three. I ordered some more shots…and drunker than ever, started dancing on the table…very risqué, very slutty. A little later in the dance, Liz joined me. Then Dean came, and it was time for some major butt kicking. Alex and Jay were fighting him, and at the end Liz kicked him the groin. Then, we all got in the car to go to the beach. Instead, Alex and Jay started fighting…and Liz was somehow entwined there, too. I tried my hardest to stay out of it, but I did chime in a few times…which probably wasn’t the smartest thing to do. I’m pretty sure they’re OK now.

Im off to starbucks, I'm in dire need of a caffeine-fix. Call me later if you want to hang out :)!
