Winter Wonderland

Walking out of the cathedral after work today, I saw a robin sucking a worm through its beak. I loved seeing it, not for the death of the worm, but for the life of the robin--ignoring me, the human who walked by. Living as it should: and glorifying God in that. The light of the setting sun streaked across the grass as it does every day at this time, and  every time it lifts me up a litte. The light is so warm, so pink, so golden in the frigid air.
And I do mean frigid. Walking across campus this morning, which takes a grand total of 3 minutes, my damp hair actually froze. And then stepping into the cathedral, which is always ridiculously overheated, my glasses fogged up. The joys of bad eyesight during the winter!
