Crafty Party Update!
In case you still can't sleep wondering how it went.....
It was held in a very posh hotel lounge.http://www.alexanderhotels.co.uk/
My friend had never actually been there before but it was the only place she could find where we could sit and hang out. Anyway, I was shown into the 'library' where there were lots of people sitting in tuxedos waiting to be shown in to their private dining room. I thought I was in the wrong room, but no, my friend came running out of the room to get me.( she was hiding round the corner!)
So we all sat in this sumptuous room and got out our knitting and crocheting ( and eating too many chocolates and cups of tea.)
I became re-acquainted with the joys of crocheting which was a lot of fun. I took along a sample of Cable knitting which impressed people and I was pleased to be able to teach some pretty experienced knitters how to do it.
I also did a funny presentation of my favourite ( new and invented!) craft, which was potato carving( "Carve your potatoes to let thier spirits soar free"!)I took along some ridiculously and messily carved potaoes, and that gave everyone a laugh.
We all had such a good time that we agreed to have another 'knit and natter' session next month!
