1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
-Tried out for a team sport [roller derby!]
-Attended several roller derby bouts
-saw the Cure [!] at Red Rocks
-witnessed someone having lasik eye surgery [the horror!]
-met David Sedaris
-attended a bachelorette party
-had wisdom teeth removed
-took summer classes
-took dancing lessons
-watched all episodes of Sex and the City
-saw Sigur Ros at Red Rocks
-saw Madonna at the Pepsi Center
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
One of my managers at the Grille had a baby. Her name is Finley, which is fucking adorable.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
None. Boo.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A car, maybe. Perhaps the ability to not freak the shit out all the time. More free time.
7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Upon reflection, I had a pretty good year. I'll have to get back to this one.
Maybe the weekend I went to Monolith?
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Straight Bs in college? Trying lots of new things?
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not improving my moneys situation.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing severe.

My roller skates!

Miss Julia! For her unwavering support and honesty and help-especially when I’m furiously drumming in Rock Band

food and bills and $180.00 roller skates and school

I wish that I had more time in general to do more of everything.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I spent Christmas Eve at Sandy’s house. We had already forced her to let us open one present early [she’s such a softie], so the urgency was a bit lessened. Jeremy came over and we ate dinner and watched “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” Jeremy went home and we opened presents and probably played SingStar. On Christmas Day, Jeremy and I went over to his mom’s for breakfast and then to his family friend Cheryl’s house where there was a HUGE dinner. THEN we went to his apartment where we exchanged gifts and had an “I hate Christmas” party. It was very busy but good.

None.
24. What was your favorite TV program?
House. And Gilmore Girls. And Jon and Kate Plus 8.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I try not to hate people…

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
The Avett Brothers.
28. What did you want and get?
New life experiences!
29. What did you want and not get?
Gilmore Girls seasons 1 & 4 on dvd.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 22. There was puke on my bicycle tire, but I tried not to let it bother me because Adam and I were going to get breakfast at Krispy Kreme. Then we played Bubble Bobble on the original Nintendo. Later, we went and had fancy dinner at Prima and watched Stardust. It was fun times.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Having my own apartment.
More time with quality folk, especially the lovely Nikki.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
I continued with the “more adventurous” hair. I felt like my clothing was lacking due to lack of fundage. I hope that changes soon.
34. What kept you sane?
Charles Xavier, my cat. Going for solo drives. Marshall McGearty cigarettes. Sandy.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Anderson Cooper. Always and forever.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The 2008 Presidential Election [duh] and the bullshit in CA.
37. Who did you miss?
Anyone I hadn’t seen due to work/school. And I’m always going to miss Chris.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Aaron Simpkiss.
