More cracky AU Sky Pirates Yuuko/Clow shenanigans

Kimihiro's sobs had subsided into wimpers, and he was hiding his face in his father's robes as his mother renewed the wards surrounding their home. Clow stroked Kimihiro's hair and soothed him with wordless noises and a running commentary.

"See, there, your mother's reconstructing the wards to keep those sorts of spirits out," he said. He rocked and bounced a little, and Kimihiro slowly quieted. Larg bounded up to Clow's shoulder and peered down at the newest member of the family.

"Is he okay?"

"He will be fine, Larg," Yuuko said, and took Kimihiro from his father with gentle hands. Clow didn't protest.

"I think it's time to think about more children," Clow said, and looked down the hall at Keroberos and Soel, who were trying to make themselves inconspicuous, and Yue, who wasn't bothering with that. "Another pair of twins."

Yuuko tilted her head and said, "You've thought about this."

Clow shrugged. "I've had it in mind ever since the larger spirits started appearing," he said. "Would you like to see my sketches?"

"Indeed," she said. "Once Kimihiro is settled."

Soel and Keroberos were animated.

"We're getting more siblings," Soel said. "I want sisters!"

"Brothers, I think," Keroberos said. Soel was nearly lost among his huge white wings.

"But girls would be nice," Soel said. Soel and Larg didn't have definite genders, but Clow knew that Soel was more feminine than masculine, and Larg was the opposite. He had created Yue and Keroberos with only a little input from Yuuko, so the decision was not up to him.

"Another time, Soel," Yuuko said. "Where are your brothers?"

"Here, Mistress," Yue said, as he and Larg entered the parlor not far behind her. "We are here to serve you."

"That won't be necessary tonight, Yue," Clow said. "Yuuko and I are still thinking about this."

Yuuko smoothed down her dress and sat neatly next to him. "What have you been thinking of?"

Clow handed her the loose sheets of paper. He went over what she would see in his minds' eye: a diagram for a dragon, able to swim or fly with ease, but clumsy on land; and a design for the form of a wolf, large enough to carry a grown man, once it itself was full grown. He thought, if they were going to go with girls, that he might have to make some adjustments. Girls were cute, and the form ought to reflect that.

"I see," she said. "Moon and water for one, sun and fire for the other." She flipped through a few more designs. "They will need souls."

It was bigger magic than either had attempted in a long while. "I know," he said. "But souls would help in making sure Kimihiro is safe. If they have hearts, they will grow to love him like a brother, and they will protect him as one."

"Balance must be kept," she said. "Two forms, as Yue and Keroberos have. Kimihiro would be very conspicuous with a dragon flying beside him." She pointedly held up the papers in question, and smirked. Clow grinned.

"It will be, my dear," he said. "The only real question is: boys or girls?"

"Hmm," she said. "I would like daughters one day. But, given the state of Edo and the way girls are treated, I think it would be prudent to make them boys. Kimihiro would like having brothers his own age, I think."

"Boys it is," Clow said.

Yuuko leaned into him, produced a pen from a place gentlemen do not ask about, and they began brainstorming--with some input from the Mokonas, Yue, and Keroberos--about their new sons.
