More drabbles.

Some Suki Dakara Suki/Legal Drug, and more xxxHolic. Because I truly have more xxxHolic ideas than anything else for any other series, ever.

SDS/Legal Drug

Kakei was smirking. Tomoaki hated it when he smirked, which was all the damn time.

"What do you want?" he asked, trying to sound cool and failing. It's difficult to sound icy and composed when one is in a hospital bed covered in bandages.

"I'm just dropping by to see my beloved younger brother," Kakei said. The smirk was a little softer. "I heard about the kidnapping from Mother."

Tomoaki was glad his glasses were on the bedside table, since it meant he didn't have to look Kakei in the eye. "I'm back now."

"Returned," Kakei said, "but not unharmed, right?"

"I wouldn't--" Tomoaki sighed. "What do you want, Kakei-niisan?"

"A lot of things," Kakei said. "But today, I just want to introduce you to someone. They should be here soon."

Tomoaki glared at him. Kakei was irritating. Kakei had always been irritating, but he'd gotten insufferably smug the last few years, after he left the family with little warning. He'd effectively disappeared, but he still called and showed up when Tomoaki least wanted him.

"Ah," Kakei said, sitting up and looking toward the door. "Here they come."

A tall, broad-shouldered man lumbered into the room. An unlit cigarette dangled from his mouth and he wore a pair of dark sunglasses.

"Found 'im," he said. He turned in Tomoaki's direction, and gave him a smirk. "Hey, your brother's cute."

Tomoaki would have glared if he thought it would do any good. That guy wasn't the only arrival, anyway; another man, also tall and broad shouldered, followed him in. They were of a height, but the newcomer was wearing a neat, fitted suit and he wore plain, everyday glasses, like Tomoaki did.

"This is Kizu Masaya," Kakei said. "I've hired him to be your bodyguard."

Tomoaki gave his brother a cool glare. "I don't need a bodyguard."

"You've got one anyway," Kakei said, rising gracefully from the chair next to the bed. "Kizu-san, this is my younger brother, Namiya Tomoaki-kun. Please take care of him from now on." He bowed, and took the arm of the sunglasses man. "Come, Saiga. I think there's a little cafe downstairs...."

"Hospital food," the other man sneered, and the door closed behind them, cutting off their conversation and leaving Tomoaki with the strange, solemn Kizu Masaya.

"I don't need a bodyguard," Tomoaki said calmly. "I'm sorry to have wasted your time."

Kizu bowed. "If it's all the same," he said, "I've been asked to let you see my credentials. In addition, your elder brother paid me for three months in advance. He indicated that it was out of his own pocket."

Which wouldn't be very deep since he'd left the family, Tomoaki thought. "I can at least see your references," he said, reluctant. It couldn't hurt him to give the references a look. Then he could send this man on his way, and not bother with the trouble of a bodyguard.

He'd never have to worry about Kizu Masaya at all.

Bleh on the end there. Hmm.

xxxHolic, AU?, BoardingHouse!Watanuki

"Our roof is leaking again, Mr. Landlord."

Watanuki sighed. "I'll see what I can do about it," he said, trying to keep a hold of his temper, "but you are a rain spirit, you know. I've fixed your roof five times this year."

The young woman shrugged, her gothic dress rustling with layers of petticoats. "It's still leaking," she said, "and that child might catch cold. You don't want that, do you?"

Watanuki thought of the Zashiki Warashi catching a cold. Not only would she feel miserable, the Ame Warashi and all of the Karasu Tengu would conspire to make his life a throbbing, migraine-ish hell.

"I'll look at it in a few hours, Ame Warashi-san," he said, bowing a little, before continuing down the stairs. He was just lucky, really, that the building was largely made of stone and concrete, or he'd have serious water damage and mold in that apartment, too.

He worked in this boarding house as the landlord-in-residence and superintendent. Thus, when the Ame Warashi's roof began to leak, or the toilet in the fortuneteller's flat clogged up, or the wiring didn't work in the Raijuu's lighting fixture, it was up to him to attend to it.

He was on his way down to the closet on the first floor, which held all sorts of cleaning supplies and tools and quick fix-it things like spackle. On the way he saw the Neko Musume, wearing less than usual as she headed out into the world; the oni from the second floor, who gave him a toothy grin and a wave; the vampire hunter (who gave Watanuki the creeps) passed him on the stairs and barely spared him a glance. Watanuki nodded and smiled at each of them. They were his tenants, his responsibility.

There was a boy at the bottom of the stairs, looking rather scruffy. A girl stood beside him, holding his hand in hers and looking around with interest.

"Welcome," Watanuki said. "This is Ichihara Yuuko's Condo's for the Odd and Impoverished. I'm Watanuki, the superintendent."

"Ah," the boy said. "I'm Syaoran. This is the Lady Sakura. Is there--do you have a place to rent?"

xxxHolic, Yuuko/Watanuki/Doumeki; continuation of sorts from "Saturday" (found here )

It was exhausting, having two partners. Watanuki felt drained all the time, being shared between Doumeki and Yuuko-san.

It wasn't that he didn't enjoy it, exactly; he enjoyed it quite a lot. A whole lot. What teenage boy in his right mind wouldn't enjoy having two partners? Granted, one was a boy, but that didn't seem to matter too much anymore.

It was just that he was getting a little tired of being tackled behind the gym at school, or in the storeroom at work, or somewhere in between.

"Er," he said at last, the very next Saturday, with Yuuko on one side and Doumeki on the other.

"Yes?" Yuuko asked, twirling a lock of his hair around her finger.

"Er," he said. "Um, I really like this, I do, but, ah...quit it, Doumeki, I'm trying to be serious here!"

Doumeki looked quite unrepentant, even with his lips swollen and slightly red.

"Anyway," Watanuki said, trying to regain his balance. "I'm just...I really do like this, with the two of you, but I'm getting really tired lately, and...ah...well...."

"I see," Yuuko murmured solemnly. "You want a little change, is that it?"

"Just a little one," Watanuki said.

"I see," she said. She smiled, and Watanuki shivered--it was that half-drunk, mostly-smug, I've-got-you-in-my-clutches-now smirk.

"Doumeki-kun," she said, leaning over Watanuki a little to catch Doumeki's eye, "we're going to have to change our arrangement."

He raised an eyebrow. "How so?"

"Instead of sharing on Saturdays, we'll share Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Does that sound good?"

"Er," Watanuki said, "wait, I'm not sure--"

"Sounds good," Doumeki said, and promptly disappeared beneath the sheets. Watanuki squawked. Yuuko chuckled and curled up next to him.

"This way," she said, "the two of you can stay for Sunday breakfast and Sunday dinner, too!"
