The first drabble reflects perfectly how very out of touch with reality these characters are (with the possible exception of Takeshi, the poor thing). Seriously, didn't anyone bother to tell Kentarou that being the president of a company doesn't exactly leave much time for being a pastry chef and adoring (if suffocating) wife?
And boy, but that second drabble was bittersweet. I mean, gotta love Kentarou standing up for Takeshi, and the promise of domesticity fluff, and all, but that guy's insinuations had to sting.
It was bad enough that he pointed out that Takeshi was closer to his boss than was usual (because of their background together) ...but saying that Takeshi had slept his way up? Ouch.
And then there was actually explaining that yes, Eagle was her boyfriend. And yes, Lantis was her boyfriend. And yes, they were boyfriends with each other, too. Hikaru wanted to cringe even thinking about her brothers' reactions.
Yeah, I can see how that would be tricky to explain to the in-laws. ^^UU
Ahaha, yes, they don't touch base with reality all that often, I don't think. And it's Kentarou; I think he figures he can make it work.
I've used that idea before, because I think a lot of people, even if they don't say it, might come to that conclusion. An interesting thing in Duklyon--though it's often just joke fodder--is the fact that Kentarou is filthy rich and Takeshi is very much not. It's an interesting issue between them, and I think Kentarou, for all his good points, doesn't see how class can be an issue, and Takeshi is all too aware of it, and that can come into play in a situation like that.
Ahaha, yeah, Hikaru's relationship situation is an interesting one, for sure.

And he's a clamp character (in a sweet, harmless little story), so it probably will. :P
