wake up!

so. i woke up at 7:30 this morning... and I went down stairs and to the bathroom... and lo-and-behold... THE STOVE IS ON it's 7:30 in the morning. a light has been left on and THE STOVE HAS BEEN ON FOR AN INDETERMINATE AMOUNT OF TIME. ok. yah. turned it off. the metal was damn hot.
yah. unattended ON burner.
my first reaction was to overreact... and be very yelly and loud. but. my defense is i woke up not even five minutes before and i was as confused as i was upset... i also have a lifelong fear of dying in a blazing inferno while asleep... so now i'm done overreacting, now i'm just a little shaken. and confused.
i mean...when i'm the last person to go up for the night, i usually do a sweep of the common space for things that need to be put in place, turn lights off... etc... but i accidentally fell asleep early last night when i went upstairs to read. but. not all nights and certainly not last night.
oh. and i read this in a friend's journal... and it kinda hit me in the stomach... "It was like when you get into a relationship that quickly goes bad because you were only attracted to the other person's attraction."
