In actuality, camp thus far has been on of the most stressful times of my life. I was totally unprepared and made so many mistakes. And the girls ended up being horrible, miserable 12-year-olds. They got into an actual, physical fight during my day off. Later that night, they wanted Cindy, one of my co-counselors, to walk them to a bathroom that is kind of far away, instead of just going to the bathroom that was nearby, since they don't like that bathroom. Cindy said no, but she would take them to the closer bathroom. The girls refused and said they were going to pee in their pants if they didn't go to the bathroom. Cindy basically said, "Fine, pee your pants, see if I care." And they did. They peed themselves on purpose. And Cindy almost lost her job because of this.

I almost broke down a few times, but near the end I just realized that I shouldn't let their stupid attitudes bother me. So I'm going to work on that for the next session, and hopefully I can make it through for the rest of the summer. And I just have to remember that they are 12.

Right now, I have a few days off, and I took two of my new counselor friends to stay at my house, since they come from Louisiana and London and can't go home. We're having fun.

Hopefully second session of camp is better for me, because first session was bad for everyone.
