Hey, at least I'm making an effort to post at all. That's what counts. Right? ... right?
Do you prefer to live in an urban or rural environment? Why?

I'm a farm girl. I grew up in a tiny little town which legitimately used to have more cows than people living in it. Because of that, I always wanted to get out. I wanted to see the world, live in the big city, get away from the smell of the tractors and cows.
Of course, the minute I leave to visit a more populous area, I want to come straight home. I get overstimulated in cities. There's too much going on. It's always a huge relief to get up past the Bath/Brunswick exit on I-295 in Maine, where you pass maybe 2-3 cars per mile and, when you're home, you have to drive 20 minutes to go grocery shopping because your town is so small it doesn't even have a stop light, let alone a supermarket.
And the air smells better, too. Maybe because we have more trees than cars in Maine -- I dunno. Even with the tractor and cow exhaust, I'd rather breathe Maine's air than New York's any day. Cities have huge advantages over the country when it comes to cultural experiences and entertainment, but when it comes to breathable air and natural beauty... the country wins, hands down.
