I'm off to see the wizard! Or something.

So DreamWidth, eh? It's very... pink. If I sign up for an account, who's to say it's not just going to sit there like my other off-LJ ones? There's a summary about the service here. One thing that looks really promising is the fully-OpenID nature of the site. Apparently if you transfer your posts there, it'll take not only the post itself, but the comments, userpics, and tags. So that's neat. There's also something about native cross-posting to LJ. I'll probably get one, but who knows if I'll remember to use it.

Want to find me on another journaling site if everything explodes on LJ? Not that I'm psychic or anything, but things do happen on LJ, you know. I'm magz @ Inksome,
explodeycakes @ InsaneJournal, sockherder @ JournalFen, and I used to have a GreatestJournal but that site's dead, according to Encyclopedia Dramatica.

I'm heading off to Brooklyn for the long holiday weekend today. I get to set up my sister and bro-in-law's new iMac [never set up a Mac before, so it should be an adventure!] and present my sister with some pre-baby stuff, including a naked Build-a-Bear lamb for kidlet #2. When the baby's born and we find out if it's a boy or girl, I'll buy the lamb an outfit to dress it accordingly. I should probably bring my camera and take more pictures of the adorable 3-year-old niece to put up on Facebook, too, now that I think about it. It's my sister's birthday, too. My mom wants me to pick up a hyacinth at a public market in Brooklyn for her birthday.

Drive-by fic rec: Harry's Pockets by joanwilder [NC-17, Harry/Draco AU, 29,300 words]. Y'all know how I hate clowns, but it doesn't seem to matter so much when reading this fic. After all, Harry's creeped out by clowns, too, but that doesn't stop him from hiring one.
