home. alone.

have you ever had one of those moments where you realize something that is obviously common knowledge and something that everyone knows? you know it's something completely clear and obvious, but you've never thought of it that way before? I won't give any examples. I don't want you guys to laugh at me.

my fam is off at central with my sister for her orientation. festivities officially begin tomorrow, so wish her luck with placement exams and what not. I am actually having a wild soiree as we speak. yes, tuesday nights are the nights to party at the howard household. I actually LOVE being alone though. I never really have the house to myself.

I got my housing info back from U of M and next year I will be living in alice lloyd hall and participating in the lloyd hall scholars program, which will be awesome because it's based on arts and writing, so
1) I'll be writing a TON
2) my freshman writing course requirements will be filled in a small classroom setting, which will be GREAT
3) throughout the year they do all these cool cultural activities and field trip things
4) since it's also based around the arts, I'll be able to meet and maybe room with cool people like dancers and artists and la la la...so I am REALLY excited about that!
getting my housing back made me EXTREMELY EXCITED for school next year... I also decided that I'm not going to do UROP because lloyd scholars takes up a lot of time and is pretty intense, and I still want to get into other extracurriculars, so I don't want to fill my plate too much. ann arbor next year...I just have good feelings about it all. :)

finalement, I am so blocked in regards to my graduation speech that I can't even form a paragraph about it for livejournal purposes. due thursday.
