Would you light my candle?

So, the school year has been going relatively well. I have a job on campus at the Adult Learning Center. It's actually not right on campus, but it counts as a campus job. I walk twenty minutes on Mondays and Fridays to get there. I really enjoy the walk, it's down unniversity drive, so I mainly walk amongst houses and trees. I'm looking forward to walking down university when the leaves start to change color. The job itself is fairly easy. I spend the first half of the day making copies or filing things and the second half doing homework. The four older ladies I work with are very nice and friendly. Unfortunately, I have to save all the money for school, I can't spend a dime on myself. Oh, well.

My classes are going really well, too. They are all reading intensive, which kind of sucks, to be honest, but I find most of the subjects I read to be pretty interesting. I'm taking Sociology, Western Civilization, Enlglish 201, Intro to Film, and Math 106 (ewwww). I've also been very fortunate to have really great teachers these past three semesters. They have all been very kind and seem to care about what they are teaching. I don't know how well I'm doing in my classes, yet. I suppose it's too early to tell, but I really hope to get well above a 3.5, if not straight A's. I've bombed a couple of quizes in film, so I don't know if I can get an A in there.

Socailly, things have been going really well, too. I've become really good friends with Tim, Corey, and more recently Matt. Sara has also joined the mix and the five of us hang out often and when we do it's usually filled with a lot of laughing. Aside from them, I also have my little Jew Mickella, my favorite gay Ian, and the loveable Meisha, to supply me with good times.

As far as extracurricular like activities, I've been going to Pride Alliance weekly and met some really cool people and I plan on going to College Democrats when they start having meetings on Mondays. I'm also going to meet my mentee soon. He's a six year old boy named Israel. I'm very excited to meet him. And then there's the rally coming up on the 24th that I am looking forward to. After the rally a bunch of other people and I are meeting with Andy Thayer from Dontamend.com to help organize a march in 2008 for gay rights.

My finaly topic of this update is about a boy. I met him at a party(I know that sounds kind of sleazy, but he was the DD and it's totally not sleazy). I feel like someone gave him a list of everything I want a guy to be and said act like this guy. He's funny, opinionated, likes to do community service, a big gentleman kind of guy with the opening of doors and what not, he's a voice teacher and is offering me free lessons, he writes music and is starting a band in which he is the lead singer, he knows what Rent is, he's really nice, he cares about the world around him, he is not shallow, he's always thinking about people, life, love, and coming up with his own ideas on them, he's really cute with a great smile, and on top of all that this guy actually likes me and I like him!! I really hope things work out. All of this seems almost too perfect. I mean fall is a few weeks away and I've always wanted to have my first boyfriend in the fall. It's crazy.
