Slept at 6 am
Woke up at 12 pm
My aunt B picked me up and headed nowhere
We drove on Eglinton Avenue West
I saw this restaurant “The Happy Greek Guy”
It was initiation for my aunt
We started with taramousalata entrée with garlic pita bread
I had the mousaka and she had the souvlaki combo-lamb, chicken, beef
I asked questions about the time I was born
I was born in another city, my dad was not beside my mom, though he came rushing as soon as he heard. They celebrated for I was the first and it was quite a feast from what she remembers. I can definitely say she is the aunt I have the greatest time with. The conversation, how she thinks and I do not feel that watch-what-you-say-to-your-aunt barrier.
A ladybug landed on my boob
We walked on Yonge and visited every store possible
Had coffee, bought a book and Sponge Bob season two
She had to go at three pm because of traffic. I cannot believe that the 401 between DVP and Dixie is 5 lanes wide, plus you have an express lane and a collector even and still manage to have traffic?
A can ride later, I was picking up my step mom and step sister, we all went to Yorkdale and saw Shall We Dance. I feel like taking lessons now. The macho stud by the way is the funky tasting spunk guy in SATC.
Twenty four was not a bad year…considering I did not do much work, changed my whole wardrobe, found a new shoe addiction and so on and so on…it is all in here. I finally finished making my own personal font. A font I could use on word processing program that is my own handwriting. I scanned a paper with my handwriting on it with all 300 characters marked on it; from e-acute to ellipsis. Then with adobe I edited each character and opened them with The Font Creator program.
It redefines a personal email for it is written with my own hand and who else can say that they “are indeed my own words”. Moreover, I could send you sparkling_ice.ttf and when we chat on msn, what you see is my handwriting…like a pen pal. Although the software has some restrictions like my “g” have a slightly longer tail that does not fit on the visible box…so, like anything else…it gets better with time.
That said, twenty-five, I will metamorphose again and embrace you gracefully.
