A~ha! You were too busy worshipping the icon of the sacred turkey to read the text properly, weren't you? Daddy specifically said, "give praise" as well, but your eyes were stuck on the plate.
Praise isn't exactly the same thing, though, is it? Because you can be thankful for something quietly or loudly, while praising something rather implies that you have to do it loudly in the first place.
But I must admit, I do hope my turkey--or turkeys, I suppose, since with so many people coming, we might need more than one--comes out as nicely as that one looks.
I'd like to think I'm rather good at it, yes. I only ask because I know some people don't eat it, and we're all trying very hard to make sure everyone has something they like at dinner on Thursday.
Yes, that's just it. But for those people who do have restrictions and preferences, we want them to feel just as welcome, too, and make sure that no one is left out of things they like.
