Well, yesterday I was having a wonderfully nice conversation with Chris about that article I posted in my last post.
I don't know where my political identificatin lies. I know, by most major issues that I am not even remotely republican, however, I don't identify as democrat either, which throws most for a loop. I'm unaffiliated, which is sometimes a bit irritable. I can't vote in primaries or anything because I'm anaffiliated so I obviously have no right to vote in it (notice sarcasm) despite the fact those are the two major parties in the presidential election, if not the only two.
Ugh! Politics sucks.
However, I did a good thing the other day, I printed out my registration form and sent it off, so I should be eligable to vote soon! Woohoooo! If your not registered to vote, go to www.mtv.com and click on Rock the Vote and in the new page that pops up they have an area to register to vote (you print out the form you fill out online and sign and send it in. Not to shabby!
I really believe in the power of one person. Despite the electorial college, I do think votes count, maybe not for much but it atleast shows a person cares. I've had to many arguements with people about how they don't vote because their is no one who they want to vote for.
Thats just crap to me, because no one canadite is going to agree with everything I agree with. I just vote for the lesser of two evils or the best canadite I think there is.
I think its just apathetic to not vote. I've gotten into this arguement a bizillion times, and I still stand by it. Don't bitch unless you tried to change it. That simple.
