I'm watching CNN right now, and ya'll know that little scrolling news thing at the bottom. It just said there is a massive fire on Canal and Bourban streets. I'm having a hard to grasping a fire in the middle of a flood. My head just can't swim around it.
What i'm not understanding is why didn't people get out? They all tried to flee at the last minute. I've lived 4 minutes from the beach, when a hurricane is a coming you run well anything that is a 3 or above. I'm not saying they deserve this, no one deserves this. But the problem could of been alieviated a bit if they had issued a mandatory evacuation sooner.
I heard on the news today a reporter compare this to the equivalent to the tsunami. WTF were they thinking? There is no count for the deaths but it is not going to be in the 100,000s.
