The Day of Canceling Trips
This morning we woke up all early and put our bags in the bus (after waiting around for the bus drivers to come open the door...) and went to eat a hearty breakfast before the mountain hike. Only to find out halfway through breakfast that the hike was canceled due to the rain.... so we sat around and did nothing for 2 hours before lunch where nobody was hungry. I felt terrible for wasting so much food!!! It was pretty good food. Everything tasted pretty fresh :) And not as much grease or seasoning as usual. Then we went to a village market where we had some street food. I split a shrimp thing with Jenny, and it was so good I wanted another one but wanted to try DIFFERENT foods! So we had a giant mochi balls thing (one coated in sesame and one in peanut powder) which was pretty tasty. Then we went for crepes which was a HUGE rip-off! For NT$80 I got a big crepe, but the "peaches and whipping cream" was a line of whipping cream on the top edge of the folded crepe (they were crispy) and a few canned peaches, and sprinkles. TOTALLY not worth the money!! I will get an ice cream one next time. A bit for spendy, but more worth it I think...
Then we went to a Confucius Temple but we had to cut the trip short because Altai slipped (it was raining all day) and hit his head and needed stitches. So we came to the hotel early :) We ate dinner, then Emilie and I went to 7 to get some socks and stuff. Then we went on an adventure with Claire to buy underwear!! Haha I got a cute new bra and panty set for less than NT$800 which I think is an ok price... US$26 or so? Then came back to learn the Wedding Dress dance for the Talent Show. Bus C is working hard! I am such a slacker though... idk if they are still practicing :3 I am here in the hotel room (did a 3-way switch again!) and dinkying around on the internet. I think my 1411 roomies left to go somewhere without telling me... I THINK they went to the pool, which I did say I didn't want to go to plus I took a shower. I hope they didn't ditch me or anything! haha well I'm gonna go see what everybody else is up to!
