As some of you may have read on my facebook - I've finally chosen a career path!

I was in class today and my friend was concerned because she had missed the enrolment date for the Fine Arts course being offered at TAFE (Australian learning institute smaller than uni), but our teacher introduced us to the head teacher of Fine Arts and he explained that early entry has closed, however people can apply right up until 29th January (with no added fees). All you really need to get into the course is having completed year 12 Vis Arts as part of your HSC and you're practically a shoe-in! He added that they need to see some work upon enrolment just to gauge where everyone's skill levels are at but otherwise I am pretty much set to undertake my 2 year Diploma course, 1 year Advanced Diploma and then degree at CSU uni through distance (you cut out two year's of uni study and fees this way). It's much, much cheaper than if I were to go directly to uni and this course will prep me for the professional art world but also teaching and even graphic design.

So yay, go me! No more lost cause! And the best part: my parents are actually supporting me - never thought I'd see that!

Me: So are you happy now dad? Are you going to quit nagging me about working and study and finding a job and not being a bum?
Dad: Nope.

You can't have everything, I suppose...

art, work, here's me trying to do something serious, study, rl
