So today I had yet *another* family member health scare. I swear, this is the year for them.
My stepdad had surgery to remove a cyst in his neck. I knew about this, is wasn't a big deal. He's had this done before, never been an issue. But sometime during the surgery, an artery was cut and wasn't repaired before the sewed him back up. He went home (as is normal after this surgery), and after a while started bleeding horribly. My mom said it kinda looked like a murder scene (I get my tendency to dramatize a bit from her.. heh). She got him back to the hospital, and my stepdad had to go though a three hour surgery to repair the artery. He had to have a blood transfusion since he lost so much between the initial surgery and the second one. There's been a few complications, but he's stable). But still, I was a fucking mess when I found this out at work. I had to have somebody come and get me, since there was no way I could drive. But I really couldn't concentrate on work (guess this means I have to find a way to get back to the tech center to get my car.. :P). Most everybody knows that I'm really close to him, so this was a shock. I know he'll be okay, but still.. I'm incredibly worried, and I don't think it'll fade anytime soon.
