CBS) DENVER: MTV's long-running show "The Real World" is set to start filming a new season in Denver's LoDo, a source told KCNC-TV.
B-52, an old nightclub on Denver's Market Street, is currently undergoing a transformation. A source told KCNC-TV reporter Brian Maass that crews are re-building the club as a swanky pad for new show participants to live in.
Participants will have a front row seat to Denver's nightlife in the location.
LoDo resident David Jones told KCNC-TV he's excited about the plans.
"It's going to bring money and energy and attraction to the Denver area," Jones said.
The Real World is a reality show on MTV that features a mix of people who are placed together in a residence that's wired with cameras.
A formal announcement about the show was expected to be made on Monday.
Some of the clubs in LoDo include Tryst, Mynt, The Purple Martini, Market 41, The Soiled Dove, The Devil Daughter's [sic] and Croc's
