This wasn't the post I intended to make but now I have to. Larry Hagman died and I'm devastated. I never met him but I have met his two best friends. I work with one of them. Three years ago I started to watch Dallas and fell so madly in love with it. The iconic nature of it. The fact that I had a connection to it. I interviewed for a job there. Dallas is so much a part of my every day life and there is no Dallas without Hagman. So I'm grateful that I'm lucky enough to know the kind of person he was. That this show is so much a part of my daily life. I'm grateful for understanding pop culture references and for knowing the brilliance that goes into a character like JR Ewing. I'm grateful for knowing stories of Larry that aren't out there and knowing the people who loved him. RIP Hagman. There will never ever be anyone like you in this world. Texas and the world lost an icon tonight.
