Seattle and Nina

She certainly has made her presence known, her little black unassuming hull tucked amongst the larger steam driven boats, separated from the little wood sloops and daysailors. Crowds have come, the usual and the amazed and the fellow sea- and history-folk. She has the air of an untidy cabin home. We like each other, I think, and I feel that we will be accommodating to each others downfalls. Seattle is purdy, luckily sunny on Lake Union, the Space Needle a walk away, and docked here at the Center for Wooden Boats, two of us girls enjoyed a sail on the pretty gaff-rigged ketch Victory Clipper last night. I am happy here for the summer, and feel like a kid going to Disneyland when looking to our trip to Victoria, BC, and Tallships on Wednesday. I miss you already.
