There are many doors off the dinning room's varied sides leading to rooms which each have music coming from them. From the first side of the room there are two big rooms one can see.

Esme is waiting in the ballroom for Carlisle to get off his shift in Milliways infirmary, dressed to match even the room she waits in, sitting quietly, patient and excited as so many of the children outside the doors of these rooms, and studying the ceilings and floors as she does.

It's been almost four years since they picked a new home and she shaped it to meet their changing wants, and never before have they had the chance to make something like this sheerly for the fun of it. She has to admit getting to advise Alice on architecture here was rather fun.

Carlisle did not ask his wife what she would be wearing to Alice's fête. He had found a charcoal tie on his briefcase that morning.

"Good job on trying to control our daughter, my dear."

Alice flits by quickly, stopping only to say "You can't control me!" in a fit of giggles.

Have fun, parents. ♥

Parker has opted for simplicity tonight. Her dress is classic and black. Silver glints at throat, ears, and wrists. And her hair is down and loose. (No point in getting elaborate when dancing will just undo it.)

This party, though, is anything but simple. They've gone all out. Parker is especially taken with this room. It's a little like being back in California, when she and a bunch of her friends would pile into cars and drive up to LA to blow off steam at some club or another.

Parker approves.

"Parker," X says, standing a little closer than usual.

It means she does not have to yell.

"Hello."

Parker looks over her shoulder, grinning widely.

"Laura, hey!"

"This is wild. Are you having a good time?"
