Otakon!! :D
I can't believe it, I'm going to Otakon in 2 days <3!! I've never been to a con outside of California, let alone all the way over on the east coast. The fine folks at ACP and Funi recruited me into going to help out at the booth with promotions and OMG HETALIA fun times ... I seriously could not be more excited for what this weekend holds <3
My *secret!* costume for the weekend is finished and now I just need to finish up these last two miserable days at work and it's off to Baltimore! But wait... I need to pack D:!! I don't know how people do it ... the concept of cramming everything I need including WIGS and semi-fragile costume pieces into bags, be they checked or carried on... it just baffles me! If the wig I was bringing were more natural looking I would seriously consider wearing it on the plane because stuffing it away in a bag is just terrifying ;__;!! I'm hoping to only carry on because words can't describe how broke I am and $25 to check bags is just wrong ... but how the hell am I gonna cram everything into one small bag?? Dx
I'm also debating about my "personal item" I get to bring on the plane... I think I'd want my laptop, but it's soooo heavy, and I'm already going to be carrying a bag with god-knows-how-much-crap crammed into it ... if I weren't traveling alone I wouldn't worry, but I somehow picture myself wandering the streets of Baltimore lost and alone at midnight so I'm not sure if I want to be carrying that much stuff xD;; But can I survive without checking twitter all weekend...? That is the question. Man I really wish I had a smart phone ^^;;
So the travel aspect is a little nervewracking (I don't think I've traveled alone since I was like... 13? o__o;), but other than that.... OMG SUPER EXCITED!! I will pretty much be living at the Funimation booth all weekend from what I understand, so if you're there stop by, we will have gooooooodies!! <3
(Woooo, I just made a super shuttle reservation from airport > hotel ... look at me go! I'm all... adult and planning ahead-ish!! \o/)
