My dad had spine surgery yesterday. They were going to replace a disk in his neck, but they ended up fusing a couple vertebrae up there. That's all I know about the surgery itself, and it's all I care to know. *shudder* All went well, and they almost discharged him last night. His blood pressure was a little high, so they kept him there overnight and we took him home early this afternoon. He's supposed to stay home from work this week and take it easy, but he's already on his computer and cell phone catching up on things. He'll be just about schizo by Monday.
I subbed in mom's classroom and got to meet the new batch of little short people. The Tuesday/Thursday class is huge for a preschool class in this area. 16 kids. They were mostly very, very cute. We painted with apples.
Tomorrow or Thursday I go back into the coldness of the meat dept. That's going to bite the big one. Still beats the hell out of cashiering, but the rest of the store actually stays busy throughout the day, and doesn't require unflattering oversize lab coats. It will be nice to have salad to eat again, though. I miss my salad.
I still don't remember what directly prompts the killing of Angelita in the ferret crack, but I'm sure I'll think of something.
Pushing Daisies had better be on the On Demand channel, 'cause I'm going to miss it thanks to stupid retail hell. *crosses fingers*
