East Oakland Photo Shoot, 9/23/09

Sep 25, 2009 00:59

This is the photo shoot I did for the first week of my Documentary Photography: Urban Portraits class.
I discovered that I am more terrified of taking pictures of people I don't know than I had previously assumed. This is proven through the fact that my photos contain few people, and that many are taken from a distance. I need to work on this.

This is the photo I ended up turning in for my portrait:

Previous photo, large size:

Migrant Workers

Tow Truck Drivers

Trick

Man on Bike

Shopping Cart Man

Chevron on High Street

E 12th St. and 47th Ave.

Beware of Dog

Hip Hop Smoke Shop

Fifteen

Sidewalk Woman... proof of my overwhelming fear of taking peoples' photos.

WTF this Flickr site is a bit lame. Either I have to pre-resize my photos, or switch to Photobucket. I'm choosing the latter for now.

Taco Truck

Birrieria y Neveria

High Street at International

Atticus and Migrant Workers
