Shimmy Shimmy Whew!
Ahhh I'm on a belly-high!
I just had my Disco belly show and it was fabulous!
*Phoenix-- we missed you sorely. There was no goth / vamp element!! :-( *
I performed to "Booie Ooogie Oogie" and I did sword....which was AWESOME. It stayed on my shoulder, on my hip and only slipped from my head once - and I made it look intentional. ;)
I have to post a ton of pictures to Flickr later on.
I realized how lucky I was when I was up on stage. I had 2 fellow Bellies- Steph and Rachel along with Rach's hubby Karim, Mike, Anthony, Belynda, her fiancee Ed and Janelle all cheering for me! I was just elated.
Oh, and my fabulous teacher Lily showed too - it was an excellent surprise.
Sabrina was amazing....her performance rocked and I want to take a workshop with her now.
I want Isis wings too...oh man they are SO cool looking!
I have so many things I want....a real costume, isis wings, another sword (gold), silk veils, a tray for balancing....! Ah!
I'm really excited - Belynda and Janelle asked if I would teach them basic bellydance moves because thy were both so intrigued! So cute!
OK- I need some sleep....I'm just on such a shimmy high! :)
