As everyone already knows, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" was released last Friday, Nov. 18; and I was there!
Okay, so I had school until noon, went home, ate a snack, and before I knew it it was already 2pm. My movie wasn't until 7pm but, I knew there was going to be a line so I wanted to be there at 3:15 -ish. Surprising there wasn't so much traffic on the freeway and getting to the theatre, so by the time I got there it was 3:20 - 3:30pm and only one person was already in line for the 7pm show.
My parents and bro laughed at me because it was so early and only one person was in line; I didn't care. They were hungry and wanted to go eat, I stood behind, sitting on a chair in line, and did some note taking on Biology. About 10 minutes after they left another guy came, so there were only 3 people in line. I then found out that the guy in front of me had about 15 people coming and the guy behind me had 11 people coming! OMG, I was so lucky! When 4pm came, there was a least another 15 people in line. My parents called me on my cell asking if I wanted anything to eat, by this time I was so hungry, I said yes. My parents and bro then came (with my food) to stand in line with me at 4:30pm and during this time there must have people 50 people in line.
About 5pm I got bored and asked my mom if she wanted to go walking around and look at shops. She said yes, and so my dad and bro were left standing in line, lol! We came back in line an hour later, 6pm, and the line was definately around the corner! A guy who worked inside the theatre said they would be letting us line at 6:30pm. YAY! That meant we only had about 30 minutes of waiting left to do! I couldn't wait! About 6:20pm, they let everyone in, and my parents, bro, and me got great sitting!
The lights began to dim at 7:01pm (lol, I kept looking at my watch) and everyone began to cheer! And when the the name "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" appeared everyone cheered once more and then it got quite.
When I go to see the Harry Potter movies, I go with the knowledge of seeing a great movie and not with the knowledge of expecting the director to fit everything in the book into a 2 1/2 hour movie.
With that said . . . I LOVE THE MOVIE!!!! OMG, for anyone who hasn't seen the movie yet: what are you waiting for? Go on and see the movie!
I did miss seeing Harry with the Durleys, the Quidditch World Cup was cut short, and not enough Draco Malfoy in the movie.
But, everything else was great! I love the the three tasks, the acting was great, I love the love interaction between Viktor/Hermione; I think it was really cute. Hermione looked beautiful in her dress (although it was pink) and the character of Voldemort was awesome. Ralph Finnes is great as Voldemort. I was truely satisfied!!! Voldemort looked so very scary, I love how they related that into the movie and the part where Cedric dies, OMG the scene was powerful. You could actually feel your heart breaking . . lol, it was great!
I can't wait to see "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoneix. I just know it'll be great too! Lucky for us fans, filming starts in Feburary! YAY, that's only 3 months away, though the movie wouldn't probably be released until 2007; but hopefully by then, book 7 will be released! CAN'T WAIT!
I'm telling you, you all need to go see that movie!!!
LOL, I'm seeing it again tonight!!!
