goodness. it is amazing how a community of people can come together in a time of crisis.

namely my friends.

some of you might know that money has been an issue lately, for the 1 million unexpected bills to come pouring in within a weeks time.

$400 brakes
$1600 transmission rebuild
$275 laptop repair
$100+ for two laptop chargers (one being terrible and from hong kong, the other excellent)
$250 for a e.r. visit

and while I have been bitching about it for some time now, just because the pent up frustration has gotten me down for the past few weeks (though these past few days I have finally, wonderfully felt like myself again) I didn't expect physical sympathy. I expected, "oh goodness that is horrible" but I didn't expect "here let me help you out" while someone slips me a check. And I am writing this now because those people are wonderful. A friend of mine from school, who is going to be leaving school with $300,000 from a rich grandmother (which I just found out), offered to give me $500 just because I am struggling, and it's hard to struggle. I just don't know what to say, but I am flooded with a rush of gratitude for him and for others, whose names I am not sure want to stay in secrecy, but thanks for the awesome early birthday gift <3<3<3
