First of all, Firefly was truly Spectacular this year.
The location, the campground that our posse staked out and meticulously crafted, seeing almost everyone i was hoping to see and getting in so much dancing that my thighs ache :P
Oh and the weather was nothing short of perfect, with lovely clear star filled skies EVERY NIGHT! Laura was my partner in crime for the majority of the weekend, and we both had a blast, and oh it was truly, truly, the BESTEST Firefly EVAH.
The ride back was a little harried, There was a ton of holiday traffic on 93 - shocking, right? It was the tightest flight-making window ever.
I got to Logan at about 5:35pm for a 6:30 flight, with no boarding pass and still needing to check my bag and go thru security. I had convinced myself that there as no way I was going to make it, but i did.
However, it did then take me, no joke, THREE AND A HALF hrs to get home from fuckin' Baltimore.
I'm NEVER flying into there again.
I spent an hour and a half waiting for the bus to take me to the metro, from where it was another 1 or so on the metro, and THEN because it was so late, I ended up taking a cab from the metro to my house.
Also, my campmor package with camping and rain stuff that I was supposed to get before FF was supposedly delivered in my absence, but no package is to be found.
The new Inspired Teaching Institute begins today, and I'm so wiped from the traveling, the sleeping little and moving a lot, and the requisite emotional drama, that well, it's a wonder I'm moving at all at this point. Also, when the UPS service guy on the PHONE tells you to get some rest, because "you sound tired," you know that's a sign :P
Oh well.
Hopefully, my camera with all of my spectacular pictures is somewhere in my huge duffel bag, and not still hanging out in the woods somewhere.... Sigh.
