And lo and behold, it is summer.
Thanks to my mommy I have some new lovely outfits to strut :)
I had a spectacular vacation, despite getting sick, and it's nice to have been able to come back, hang out with Georgetown friends, and relax a little before my grueling new summer job begins!
Yay.
I've read TWO fiction books since I finished school for the year.
Crome Yellow and
After Many a Summer Dies the Swan.
Yup. They were good, though Summer is way better, probably because it echoes my favorite,
Island It's interesting that Crome echoes what I feel is its antithesis, none other than Brave New World just at the level of ideas, not storyline. Aldous Huxley is amazing. :)
I'm definitely looking forward to reading more of his other seemingly equally ignored works.
I kind of got sidetracked by the literature review and forgot what the original aim of my post was going to be.
Oh well.
Friday I head off to NYC once more, for fun in the city and some friends and family time.
Speaking of which, I should really call my great-aunt...
Also, in an effort to save my teeth from myself, and help holding out until next semester's insurance kicks in for this whole possible root canal business, I've got an electric toothbrush. I hope it isn't bunk. Part of me thinks it is.
Now whatever shall I read on my way home from work? :)
In either case, the fact that
Firefly is indeed back on, is the best news I got all day. Hooray!!
