proclaiming that yesterday, season 2 of Harvey Birdman came out on DVD.
You know what else is out on DVD? Butterfly Effect 2. yeah. STRAIGHT to DVD. That's how bad they KNOW it is. Ha.
Anyways, I'm in love with Harvey Birdman. seriously.

In other news...
Let the month of parties and events continue!
Well, it technically began with the Tool/Massive Attack shows I went to right on the cusp of Sept/Oct, and has continued on since. Went to Maine this past weekend, and LTJ BUKEM on Sunday.
There was also a spontaneous trip up to Sparks ME, for a Hemp Rally/Fest/Thing. Aw silly Maine hippies. It's always frustrating for me to see the amount of BS that surrounds those events, as fun and as useful they may be in certain respects. First of all, you're in this gorgeous landscape near the Arcadia national park, and it's just beautiful, and stupid goddamn kids trash the place by throwing all their garbage and beer cans and what not DIRECTLY on the ground.
And secondly, this fest is sponsored by Maine Vocals, and organization that works to support and promote legislation in ending prohibition on pot. And how many of those aforementioned dirty hippies actually vote? or are even REGISTERED to vote??? yeah. exactly.
Other than that it was good fun. The harvest moon rising was worth it. It was huge and pink and amazing. and i have some pictures I'll post soon.
However, I don't think I'll be returning to the Clifford maine residence any time soon.
Every time we go my allergies get inflamed like crazy. It's dry, and dusty, and just not comfortable. Plus there's the construction that's ongoing. So yeah. Sad but true.
Bukem was excellent fun.
Even my allergies couldn't prevent a whole lotta dancing and groovin. Venu is a silly place. I like the layout of the club a lot, but they have a shitty sound rig for the smaller room where Bukem was stationed, and that was unfortunate, cause you could go out to the big space and dance, but the actual performers are way in the back where there's blown speakers, so yeah, kinda crappy.
This weekend there may be more outdoorsy excursions, if Mikey decides to throw a little intimate get together at his family cottage, which i've been wanting to go to forever now... definitely all summer and longer. The weekend following i'm going to NH to visit my fam and celebrate my grandmother's 86th. My kick-ass cousin Galya and her family are coming up from Virginia even. It'll be nice to see them.
Then comes the halloween party! The invites have been sent.
It will be fun. :)
Then, the first weekend in Nov, we should be making the trek down to NYC for a Burning Man decompression crazy party with Chris. MY GOD! This is what it's all about.
I also got to see Phil Ashley this weekend really briefly when he stopped by the house on their way back to NY, but we should see him again when we're down there in Nov. That will be AWESOME.
Let's hope we survive this crazy whirlwind of events.....
phew!

plans, maine, party, family, weekend
