First off, thank you! Once we start planning, I will definitely take you up on your offer- our plan is to ask for advice from all our friends who've already been through this, and I think that having someone to commiserate with as its happening will be life (or at least sanity) saving.
And yes, I've been trying to make my resolutions more into goals- its ok if I don't quite succeed, but its something to aim for. I don't know that I'll be able to read a book a week, but having that on my mind will at least encourage me to read a book rather than surf the internet, you know?
Exactly! Although with apps like "instapaper" you can save things for offline reading and I've discovered some really amazing productivity and food blogs that I do try to keep up with on a regular basis.... but reading books = super.
Oh I know you're a reader!! XD 20 pages of Les Mis a day is *good* - I had to read Les Mis in 10th grade at BCC and it sure took awhile. :)
Let me know when you are in need (or want) some additional reading material - I have DRM-free copies of >100 books (including all 5 books of A Song of Ice and Fire).

I read plenty, believe me- I just wanted to get back into the habit of reading books, not just the internet. :-P
