monday monday
this is me at work with the 70 cent raise i asked for... yeah, i've got some nerve. and it's monday so a whole beautiful work week is ahead of me. but maybe this afternoon i will slip out so the boy and i can go swimming... no one will notice... and he and i will actually get to be alone.
because i don't think we've been really alone since the top of the parking ramp in fort worth on july 3rd. the view was distant, premature fireworks, huge angels, white christmas lights, and a five dollar chocolate milkshake to wash it all down.
now it's 8:30 monday morning and i'm eating rice noodles and drinking coke.
my canvas cubicle is augmented by the scent of stale coffee and rotting krispy kremes. yay, summer...
