“You realize that we know longer need to sleep, right?” A soft murmur broke the silence permeating the room, and Seunghyun felt a soft rustle against his side, a slender arm moving across his waist before a dark-haired head leaned against his chest. The boy did not have the body heat of a human, and his thin fingers were cold against the pale, bare skin of his waist.

“I don’t need you to tell me that.” The words came out of Seunghyun in a rough whisper, opening his eyes to stare up at the deteriorating ceiling of their home. Each crack had a different story of each person that had moved in and out of the abandoned apartment building. If Seunghyun listened hard enough, he could hear lover quarrels that had occurred, or the cries of a baby seeping from the cracked plaster.

“Then why do you continue to do so?” Seunghyun’s gaze hardened as he continued to stare up at the ceiling, not bothering to look down at his companion to give him any sort of acknowledgement. Sleeping was the most humanistic trait the man could hold on to. Forcing himself to his subconscious, only to dream about his old life, was the last human fiber that he could hold onto. Not doing so would ultimately make him into the monster he was already becoming. Burying himself underneath the sheets reminded him of his past, how he would waste each day away by slipping into his subconscious without giving a care about anything, or anyone else.

“You know why.” The boy sighed before Seunghyun closed his eyes, only to wake once the moon had settled in the black sky.

-----------------------------

Taemin was a being full of grace and charisma, with his long limbs and his intense eyes; he had been the perfect prototype for a vampire. With one stare, he could lure in his prey. With one smirk, he could have their heart in his hand. With one kiss, their soul was his for eternity, before his pearly-white fangs dipped into the skin of his victim, ignoring the gasped pleads and cries. Taemin had the ability to break a heart within moments of receiving it, and was able to walk away without a single regret. That was what made Taemin absolutely alluring.

Seunghyun found himself looking over at Taemin’s direction, watching as he would sit on one of the rotting wooden chairs with an old book in his lap, his plump bottom lip caught between a perfect set of teeth. The man’s eyes would linger up the creamy skin of Taemin’s thighs as he pulled on a pair of trousers, along with the delicate curve of his back when he would slip out of the bed to look out of the window, commenting on the stars. A boy was turned at the age of 16, and he would forever have his youth.

Seunghyun would never forget the night he had encountered Taemin. At the park, the boy was curled up on a bench with only a thin jacket and a pair of ripped jeans. It only took one look, and Seunghyun knew. Taemin was the first and only other vampire he had encountered since he had been turned, a newborn that was only a few days old. The boy was starved, scared and confused…all three emotions leaking from his eyes as he looked up at Seunghyun for help.

Since then, Seunghyun had taken Taemin under his wing, feeding him captured humans he had lured into the alleyways and holding him close whenever Taemin would weep, feeling the damp blood-stained tears sliding down his chest. He watched as the scared boy turned into an eloquent vampire, his lips curved into a hungry smirk whenever he laid eyes on an attractive woman or man. Taemin spoke of humans lightly, now in the stage of his vampire life where he seemed invincible, knowing that humans were far too weak and useless. Yet, Seunghyun looked past this naïve cockiness once he was gifted with the scene of Taemin feeding off of a human, pulling back to see thick blood staining his lips. Seunghyun knew no one else but him would have the luxury of licking blood off of Taemin’s full lips.

Taemin was Seunghyun’s lover, friend, brother, and companion.
Without him, he would be forever alone, to grace upon the Earth without the ability to die.

-----------------------------

Kwon Jiyong.

The name echoed through Seunghyun’s mind and it was the only piece of information he had received when the bleached-haired boy quickly walked past him, chattering on his cellphone while carrying a few shopping bags. Skinny jeans hugged his small figure while a graphic hoodie decorated his torso. With one uninterested glance towards the man, Seunghyun felt as if he was hit with a sudden bullet, a series of scenes flashing across his eyes. A vampire had the ability to see into a human’s life with just a gaze, depending on how well humans protected their own mind. Yet, this boy wore his heart on his sleeve, just like the majority of the population. Jiyong was a spoiled boy with a pair of parents that left the city to vacation in the finest of islands, blowing money on useless cruises and nearly forgetting that they had a son back at home. The blond was handed a credit card, and since then, Jiyong tried to buy his happiness with money. Jiyong quickly looked away, a laugh ripping from his throat as he continued to talk on the phone, walking down the lone sidewalk.

“Well that was fucking disgusting.” Footsteps echoed throughout the alleyway as Taemin emerged from the darkness, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. Seunghyun did not move once he had heard his companion approach him, his eyes still staring at the back of Jiyong’s blond hair, letting his eyes linger down to the way his hips moved when he walked. Taemin leaned against Seunghyun, resting his chin on the older man’s shoulder.

“Why couldn’t we get someone younger?” He asked softly, letting out a sigh. Taemin had the sad trip of feeding off of an elderly woman, her blood sour and thin like water. It was a horrible downgrade considering that the younger the human, the sweeter and thicker the blood. Yet, it was something, anything to get them by. Taemin rose a brow as he didn’t receive a response from Seunghyun, only to look in the other’s direction, seeing the blond teenager.

“Ah…” His lips curved into a grin as he nudged his companion. “Take him, he looks delicious.” Taemin purred, feeling his hunger perch up again. Seunghyun frowned before glancing over his shoulder at Taemin. He gave him a small smile before shaking his head.

“It’s fine, I’m full anyways.” Seunghyun murmured. Taemin’s expression dropped, looking at the older man with a skeptic look before pulling away, starting to walk in Jiyong’s direction.

“If you don’t want him, I’ll take him.” Yet, the moment the last syllable left Taemin’s lips, Seunghyun reached out, taking his arm. Taemin glanced over to look at him with a confused expression, his brow furrowed and his eyes sharp. Seunghyun couldn’t exactly understand his own actions and feelings, but, he covered it up as well as he can with giving Taemin a warm smile and a quirk of his brow.

“Come on, let’s go back home.”

-----------------------------

Following Jiyong became a hobby for the vampire…as if he had anything better to do. At night, he was slip from their apartment, wandering the streets until he had gotten that odd feeling in the back of his neck, his hair standing on ends…and he knew. Seunghyun caught Jiyong from a distance, watching as he would walk down the sidewalk, eyes staring up at the window displays of clothing stores, sometimes disappearing and reappearing with shopping bags.

Seunghyun would slowly stroll down the sidewalk with his hands deep in the pocket of his black pants, his eyes staring at the back of Jiyong’s head. Every once in a while, he would get close enough to smell the lingering scent of his shampoo, or the rich, sweet aroma of his blood. There were times where Jiyong would actually make eye contact with him…like the one time Seunghyun watched as the slender boy dropped his wallet on the sidewalk, hurrying to take the leather bound designer wallet.

The moment he placed his cool hand, his skin burned from the sudden warmth that radiated from Jiyong’s body…and Seunghyun felt his body shudder. The blond was quick to look over his shoulder, curiosity filling his eyes before Seunghyun held up the wallet. The vampire’s stomach tightened as Jiyong grinned, taking the wallet, allowing his hot fingers to graze against Seunghyun’s.

“Thank you!”

For the first time in years, Seunghyun felt like he was sixteen again, meeting his first love interest.

-----------------------------

“For someone like you…you’re acting horribly pathetic.”

Taemin had appeared near the door, leaning against the frame like a feline, a hint of a smirk appearing on his lips. Seunghyun’s grip on the windowsill tightened as he heard the other’s venomous words of truth.

“I’m not stupid.”

“I never said you were!” Seunghyun turned around to face Taemin, who was now in the plush armchair, swinging a leg over the arm of the chair, an elbow leaning against the other arm.

“You think I don’t know that you keep watching that damned human? You’ve been doing that for the past three weeks, what else could we possibly be doing.” Taemin sighed as he looked up at Seunghyun. “What the hell is your problem?”

The older man’s hands curled into fists, knowing that he had no right to say anything in his defense.

“Hyung, what the hell is that boy going to do for you? He’s just a waste of time. You’re better than that. We’re better than that.” Taemin played with a loose thread that stuck out from the chair cushion before looking over at Seunghyun with those damned wide eyes and the sinful curve of his mouth. After studying the older man, Taemin moved from his seat, stepping closer to Seunghyun.

“You know we’re going to move soon. It’s about time.” Taemin whispered, reaching out to brush a stray hair from Seunghyun’s shoulder. The vampire stared at Taemin, watching his movements before turning away. Seunghyun had known well enough that it was time to move cities, in order to lessen the suspicion of those around the couple, having to continue their cycle all over again. Everything in the man’s mind was complete mush, and the vampire wasn’t used to not being able to think straight. Taemin was right, his obsession with the blond boy was completely uncalled for, and dangerous. Seunghyun wasn’t allowed to feel enticed by a human…his time was over, and the only person he had was Taemin.

The boy stared at Seunghyun’s back, worry appearing on his features before he took a step, wrapping his arms around the other’s waist.

“Just…stop, okay? I’ll kill him if that means you’ll return to your normal self.” Taemin murmured against Seunghyun’s shoulder. The vampire did not know how to say that this normal self had died years ago, the moment his life was taken and replaced.

-----------------------------

There he was.

Limbs moved to the harsh beat of the dance music, the club packed with sweaty people high on life…and whatever else they could get their hands on. The back of Jiyong’s shirt was damp with sweat, sticking to the curve of his back as he moved along with his partner, his eyes closed to the mesmerizing sound. Everything seemed to have moved in slow motion as Seunghyun sat at the bar, sitting up straight and alert, his eyes sharp as a hawk’s as he watched the blond boy. He had spent hours at the club, standing in corners, going to the bar all while he debated in his mind. Seunghyun had come here for a reason, knowing that Jiyong would be at the club, to escape his home-life and to possibly go home with a stranger.

Yet, the vampire wanted to be that stranger, no matter what the consequences might be. Jiyong pulled away from his partner with a lopsided smirk before weaving through the crowd, stumbling to the bar. His cheeks were flushed with blood, and his glassy eyes told that Jiyong was already drunk. Settled down into a chair, Jiyong leaned against the bar counter, chewing on his bottom lip. It was only moments later until Seunghyun sat beside him, siding over a damp glass of a bright-colored drink, a cherry decorating the top. Jiyong looked over at the glass, a huge grin appearing on his face before he looked at the man who bought him the alcohol, his kohl-lined eyes taking in the dark appearance of the vampire.

Taking the drink between his thumb and first two fingers, Jiyong picked out the cherry with the other hand, taking a slow bite of the soft fruit.

“Haven’t we met before?!” Jiyong tried to yell over the loud music, watching Seunghyun with a clouded, yet, amused look on his face. The man stared at Jiyong as he bit into the cherry, watching as his lips wrapped around the fruit before moving to his chews. Seunghyun quirked his brow, his lips curving into a smirk before shrugging his shoulders.

“You wish.” He mouthed, watching as Jiyong tilted his head back to down the drink, his eyes lingering down to his throat, watching as his adam’s apple moved up and down in sync with his swallowing. Seunghyun shuddered, his fingertips tingling to the explicit thoughts he was having. After Jiyong set the empty glass down, the vampire stood up from his seat, holding out his hand. The boy looked down at the pale hand before grinning, taking the other’s hand and pulling himself up. As Jiyong led Seunghyun to the hot dancefloor, Seunghyun’s eyes did not move from Jiyong’s figure, watching as the damp fabric moved with the roll of Jiyong’s muscles down to Jiyong’s hips, his tight pants clinging onto every curve.

The two were right in the middle of the dance floor, foreign bodies pressing at every angle while the harsh beat of the house music pounded through Seunghyun’s ears. Yet, despite the ethereal lyrics and the loud bass that made everyone go out completely, the only music to Seunghyun’s ears was the quickening heartbeat of the blond boy in front of him. Jiyong immediately began to move to the music, swaying his hips as he closed his eyes, tilting his head back with glistening parted lips. For a moment, Seunghyun knew he should stay away from this situation and go back home to Taemin, before he would do anything that he would regret. Yet, Jiyong was right there in front of him, and he knew this was the one time he would be able to have what he wanted, even if it was short-lived. With that, Seunghyun moved in, pressing himself to Jiyong before resting his large hands on the boy’s hips, following his movements. A smile appeared on Jiyong’s lips as he leaned back, sliding a hand around Seunghyun’s neck before burying his long fingertips in the vampire’s short, black hair. Jiyong’s movements were fluid and all too seductive as he rolled his hips to the beat, grinding against Seunghyun teasingly before he leaned up, his hot breath washing over Seunghyun’s ear.

“How is it that we’re in a hot club, and you’re so cold?” The whisper was enough to send a shiver down Seunghyun’s spine and a smirk on his lips. He continued to move against Jiyong, savoring the enticing warmth of the boy’s skin and he dipped down, his lips just a few inches away from Jiyong’s neck. Seunghyun could nearly taste the boy’s sweet blood on his tongue, its aroma overwhelming him and before he could control himself, he pressed his cool lips to the boy’s moist skin, kissing the curve of his neck before brushing the tip of his tongue slowly against Jiyong’s pulse, goosebumps quickly covering his skin. A groan was muffled by the loud dance music and Seunghyun felt Jiyong’s fingers tighten, gripping his hair as he looked over at Seunghyun with half-lidded, glassy eyes. The vampire easily slipped into Jiyong’s thoughts, which was completely cloudy from the amount he had to drink and the only thing that was on the boy’s mind was any kind of physical contact and sheer lust.

Narrowing his eyes, Seunghyun stared back as they moved in sync, sliding his hands up and dipping his fingertips underneath the thin fabric of the boy’s shirt, nails grazing ever-so-slighty against pale skin. Jiyong’s eyelids fluttered as his plump bottom lip became caught in between his perfect set of teeth, releasing it slowly before he swiped his tongue along his lip, the look in his eye only beckoning the vampire dangerously. Seunghyun immediately leaned in and captured the boy’s lips, sweet with the drink he had been sipping on and entirely too hot and delicious. The vampire slid his tongue into Jiyong’s willing mouth, who reciprocated the erotic action by sucking on the cold muscle, a needy moan vibrating into his mouth as he felt the amazing sting of his hair being pulled tightly by Jiyong’s hand.

Stumbling into the loft Jiyong’s parents had rented out for their son for him to use for school only ended in drunken laughter and strong hands reaching out to grab onto the boy’s lithe frame, keeping him from tripping over anything. The heat of Jiyong’s body on top of Seunghyun’s was something the vampire could not get enough of, immediately craving every single thing the drunken boy could offer him. Seunghyun was tugged to the large bed that laid in front of the amazing city view, completely messy with pillows all shapes and sizes littering the thick comforter and sheets. The vampire sat down, pulling Jiyong in his lap, who was already nipping and kissing along his neck while his hands moved to tug off his own sweaty shirt.

“ ’S your name?” Jiyong slurred, the question ending in a gasp as Seunghyun trailed his hands, fingers lightly pinching the boy’s hard nipples before he leaned in, capturing his lips in a hungry kiss in order to avoid the question. The vampire knew his name was not important, if anything, Jiyong didn’t need to remember this, as long as Seunghyun could have this very moment, just to have at least something that could take his mind off of the monster he was. Yet, it was impossible, as all he could think about was making Jiyong squirm in his arms, moan loudly into his mouth and have just a taste, just a little taste to calm his aching nerves. Yet, would he be able to stop what he started? The blood he had before making his way to the club was quickly rushing down to his groin, his member swelling up to each harsh roll of Jiyong’s hips made, the boy breaking the kiss with a soft whine. With clothing piled up on the cluttered floor, Seunghyun was flush against Jiyong’s bare body, in between his legs with his cock grinding against Jiyong’s ridiculously hard erection, causing the boy to arch his hips and moan out loud, his nails digging into the vampire’s broad shoulders.

“Shit, fuck me please!” The blonde moaned out with a snap of his hips and within seconds, Seunghyun flipped Jiyong onto his stomach, his breath rough and quick as he let his eyes slide down the curve of Jiyong’s spine, wanting nothing more but to sink his teeth into that creamy skin and have a drink, taste every drop of blood and sweat that spilled from Jiyong’s body. Jiyong sighed, his fingers curling against the sheets, gripping the material tightly as his cheek pressed against a plush pillow, arching his ass for the taking. “Please, fucking hurry!”

The vampire couldn’t remember the last time he had sex, his length sinking into Jiyong’s tight slick entrance all too well, feeling the boy completely suck up his cock into his small hole, a series of loud moans and curses stringing from the blonde.

“Oh shit! Mmn..” There was not a single thought that crossed Seunghyun’s mind as he felt Jiyong pulsing around his cock, his judgment completely clouded his lust as he began to roll his hips, hands gripping onto Jiyong’s hips tightly . The vampire couldn’t comprehend how beautiful the blonde looked with an expression of pain and pleasure co-existing perfectly as he thrust into his slender body, every slide of his cock earning him a delighted groan from Jiyong. Seunghyun’s eyes were wide as he stared at the boy’s neck, his mouth watering as temptation grew overwhelming. Sliding his hand down Jiyong’s abdomen, cool fingers wrapped around the other’s hot erection, stroking him in sync with his slow thrusts, a whine filling the room.

Seunghyun needed this, he needed just one fucking taste. A growl ripped from his throat as he trailed his tongue along the curve of Jiyong’s throat, his lips resting on the boy’s racing pulse. Seunghyun held his breath, lingering for a moment before his sharp fangs slid out, piercing the hot, soft skin of Jiyong’s like a hot knife cutting through butter. Jiyong immediately tensed up, a broken whimper leaving his swollen lips, yet, he made no sudden movement to push Seunghyun away in a terrified action. Thick, sweet blood rushed into Seunghyun’s mouth and once the first drop touched his eager tongue, the vampire gave a low keen, his hips moving quickly. Jiyong’s taste was nothing Seunghyun had ever experienced, his blood sweet from the laced alcohol and unbelievably rich with youth and enticingly delicious. To Seunghyun’s own surprise, Jiyong’s cock became even more aroused by the sting of pain he felt in his neck, and the odd feeling of being emptied despite being full of the vampire’s length. With one shift of his cock, Jiyong arched his back beautifully and cried out once his prostate was teased, pushing back against Seunghyun.

“O-oh god, pleasepleaseplease don’t stop!” Jiyong begged, his voice faint from the amount of blood Seunghyun had taken from him. Reluctant, Seunghyun slowly pulled away from Jiyong’s throat, his tongue slowly caressing the marks he left on the boy’s neck so they would heal and close up. His eyes were dark and dilated, and his skin tingled with the taste of Jiyong sliding down his throat and satisfying his very core. Moving to press his lips hard against Jiyong’s, the boy moaned out, surprised at the taste of blood in his mouth before his muscles clenched all-too-tightly to Seunghyun’s cock. Jiyong broke the kiss, his voice cracking as he cried out, his body shuddering as he spilled himself into Seunghyun’s large hand, his hips rocking with his intense orgasm. It only took Seunghyun a few frantic thrusts before groaning out Jiyong’s name into the boy’s ear, releasing deep into the boy’s ass, his chest pressing against Jiyong’s sweaty back.

“How did you know my name?” Jiyong had asked later, resting his head against Seunghyun’s chest, his fingers tracing random shapes over the vampire’s pale skin. Seunghyun kept quiet, and instead, ran his fingers through the blonde’s messy hair, leaning down to press a soft kiss to his forehead. It only took moments until the human was fast asleep, and Seunghyun couldn’t help but feel the sudden sadness that plagued his mind. He knew he made a mistake, not only physically connecting with the boy, but taking his blood without killing him. It was only a slow emotional death for Seunghyun, especially since he knew he couldn’t stay with Jiyong, or bring him into a horrible life that the boy didn’t deserve. The vampire admired Jiyong, tracing over his features with a soft finger before finally pulling away. Seunghyun quickly slipped out, unknown to the consequences he would soon face once he returned home.

-----------------------------

Taemin sat at the edge of the bed, his eyes staring at the crack where the thick black curtain hung an inch off of the ground. The light emitting from the slice was slowly dimming until it faded away, indicating that it was nighttime. The vampire didn’t sleep all day, but, instead sat around in the apartment, his mind racing as Seunghyun never walked through the door. The older vampire was always home before sunrise, every single day. Seunghyun never made any side trips for his meals, nor did he stay out too early. If anything, he was always with Taemin before the couple would decide to go back home, so they could escape the dreaded sunlight.

Yet, this was different. The reason why Seunghyun was not home haunted Taemin’s mind, yet, the boy didn’t want to believe it. He didn’t want to believe that his only companion was being taken away by a damned human, and he didn’t want to think about Seunghyun’s utterly sad obsession with the weakling. The familiar ache in his chest returned as he pulled his knees to his chest, and closed his eyes tightly. Taemin hated this feeling, this feeling of dependence, of loneliness. He was a vampire, a vampire who didn’t care about human feelings, or gave any thought of the world of what he was doing when he would kill…but with Seunghyun, he felt like a boy all over again. Without Seunghyun, Taemin had no idea where he would be…or if he would have survived at all. There was no doubt in the world that Taemin was attached to the older man, horribly possessive of him. He couldn’t bare the thought of someone else taking him away, that someone being a human.

Taemin flinched as he heard the brass key being pushed into the lock, listening to the deadbolt as it slid into the door. Suddenly, the door cracked open and Seunghyun stepped it, the scent hitting Taemin like a gas truck.

Seunghyun stepped into the room, slipping off his shoes before glancing up. His eyes stared at Taemin’s dark form, his body freezing as he saw the blood that lined Taemin’s eyes, along with the way the boy’s hands curled into fists. The room was silent as Taemin glared at him, his eyes widened in shock.

Seunghyun smelled like him, like that damned human boy. Taemin’s suspicions were so true, that he had wished Seunghyun never came back at all. He could smell the sweet sweat that did not belong to Seunghyun on his skin, the saliva that lingered on his companion’s lips, and the salty scent of come that stained Seunghyun’s hand. Standing up from the bed, Taemin felt a sudden hit of dizziness, ignoring the sting in his eyes.

The older man stood in his place as Taemin rose from the bed, recognizing the look almost immediately. How was he supposed to explain himself? How could he offer words of comfort to someone who knew his actions all along?

“You’re a dog. A fucking pet!” Taemin started, his voice raw as he took a few more steps towards Seunghyun. “Do you have any idea what you’re doing? What you’re putting yourself through? You just don’t know how to let go, now do you? Do you?!” Seunghyun’s limbs were frozen in place as he continued to stare at Taemin, taking in his hurt expression, and the welling of his blood tears in his dark eyes.

“Tell me, what is that boy going to do for you? Is he going to solve your problems? Do you like being with him because it makes you feel like a pathetic human again? Do you love him because he doesn’t know you’re a goddamned monster?! Do you honestly think that lingering with a human boy will make you forget about who you are? It will only make you realize how different you are, how you will never fit in!” Taemin accused.

Seunghyun had no idea what to feel. He was lost, unable to come up with a decent explanation, and unable to tell the younger boy that he was completely right. He didn’t know if he should walk away or pull Taemin in his arms, or think about how beautiful the vampire looked with streams of red sliding down his cheeks. For once, Seunghyun’s cover was blown, as he stood there like an idiot, staring back at Taemin.

A bitter laugh ripped from Taemin’s throat as he crossed his arms over his chest, shaking his head.

“Do you honestly think you could stay with that boy forever? It’s not like you could--“ Taemin stopped abruptly, his lips parted as he stared wide at Seunghyun, a sudden rush of realization hitting him like a hurricane.

Seunghyun immediately stopped breathing as soon as Taemin stopped talking, realizing that there was only going to be a split second before the walls started to crash down. The older vampire knew the exact thought that was crossing his companion’s mind, and he knew it had to be one of Taemin’s worst fears. The idea of turning a human into a vampire was one that the pair had stayed away from for years, never speaking about it. Seunghyun knew that Taemin never wanted a third person to come into their immortal life, with the threat that Seunghyun would become bored of the boy, quickly moving on and abandoning him for eternity. Seunghyun parted his lips, quickly reaching out for Taemin, wanting to deny that idea, knowing that he would never be so cruel to give the curse to Jiyong, that he did not want to become responsible for his eternal loneliness and lost of a human life. Yet, before Seunghyun could deny it, Taemin shut his eyes tightly.

“You can’t!” A sob shook Taemin’s shoulders, and within an single moment, Taemin was the vulnerable, scared boy at the park.

“Y-you promised! You promised it would only be the two of us, forever!” Taemin cried out as he opened his eyes to glare at Seunghyun, his eyes full of confusion, anger and nevertheless, sorrow. “You can’t do this to me, what have I done!” His voice cracked as his pale skin became stained with the crimson liquid.

“Taemin, I-“

Taemin was suddenly in front of Seunghyun, hitting his chest with curled fists, each hit accompanied with a deep sob. Fingers gripped onto the material of Seunghyun’s button down as Taemin stared at the vampire in desperation.

“Are you really that sick of me?” Taemin whimpered, staring up at Seunghyun with wide eyes. Immedaitely, Seunghyun slipped his strong arms around Taemin’s lithe frame and held him close, whispering. “Of course not, I would never become sick of you, I’m just…I’m so sorry.” It was all he could say, especially since no excuse in the book would be believable. Yet, Seunghyun knew Taemin would never leave him, because he simply didn’t have a single person he could turn to, and would only face a life of pain and loneliness.

“I want to move.” Taemin murmured, his nails digging into Seunghyun’s chest before he looked up at the older vampire with blood streaking down his face. “It’s time for us to go.” It wasn’t a request, but simply a demand. Even though Seunghyun wanted to deny it, he knew it was the only way he could break away without causing too much pain for Jiyong, and his beloved companion. Seunghyun stared at Taemin before giving the boy a small nod. Immediately, a smile appeared on the younger vampire’s face before leaning up to press a kiss to Seunghyun’s cheek.

“You know that I love you right…? I don’t know what I’d do without you here, I would be dead, an older vampire would have killed a fledging like me…but you saved me, hyung.” Taemin whispered, nuzzling Seunghyun’s neck.

Seunghyun debated seeing Jiyong for the last time, but a single look from Taemin only told the older vampire that the boy knew what he was thinking, and would try his best to cling onto Seunghyun. He knew that he would have to let go of Jiyong, especially since the blonde had no memory of him. But one thing he couldn’t forget was the night he spent with Jiyong, a repeating memory that would continue to flow through his mind until it would finally chip away, just like many of the memories of Seunghyun’s own past.

“How about Paris? I’ve always wanted to go…”

“Taemin, do you even know French?” Seunghyun chuckled as they walked hand-in-hand down the bustling sidewalk in the city of Seoul. With a large amount of money in his wallet, Seunghyun had no certainty about their future, where they would end up and whom they would run into. Yet, the vampire had accepted this fate, knowing he would have to strip himself of any past memory and only focus on the present. Seunghyun looked over at Taemin, who was looking up at him with a smile.

“Fine…Paris it is.”
