“Make him do more evaluations,” suggested Rodney as he left.
Teyla paused to say, “Perhaps he could wash windows.”
“Lots of them,” added Ronon with a laugh.
They were followed by a grinning Carson. “And my wee turtles need a walk.”
After everyone was gone, Elizabeth approached John. He sat slouched in his chair, lazily shuffling the deck of cards.
“Guess I lost,” he said cheekily.
“And your team has deserted you,” she replied. “Think you can manage by yourself to pay up what you owe me?”
In response, he pulled her down onto his lap.
“What do you think?”
