As for me, well, the past few years have been really hard, and continue to be so. I'm at the point now where I just try to be philosophical about all the shit fate can hand you. Of course, some days that's easier than others! ;)

I believe I have read that one. Yes, I do have a soft spot for H/D Ferret fics. I think this is healthy and normal.

Ferret fics push a button I didn't know I had. I just wish there were more of them -- other than Sabershadowkat's and FemmeFerret's, I can't really think of any other long ones.

<3 Yeah, I never feel like posting here for some reason. It must be the PTSD. I do have a ranting journal over at JF, though, but I fear linking it because it is *seriously* ranty.

Amazing how all the quality goodfic just melts into one long blur, and yet every detail of that ferret fic is so clear to me. There's a lesson here, probably.

I kinda fear jf since F_W went loony. Is it just lots of people replying with 'Jo's men, through and through!'? Eeek!

Didn't shaggirl used to have a collection of ferret fics? I remember being devoted to a Veela Inc. one where Ferret!Draco was in Harry's trousers and wacked him off.
(Weirdly prescient of GoF!movie, although I think it's more that no-one can resist cheap jokes about ferrets in trousers.)

Oooh, the idea of going to cons just to trade badfic links is awfully tempting. And we could make teeshirts and fliers and hand them out to people.

The next time somebody wants to write an article about HP fans, instead of talking about gender theory and the long tradition of derivative literature, someone should just hand them a link to this instead. <3
