One of the good things about Blue Ridge is the Swan. It is one of the last drive in theaters in Georgia and shows first run movies every night. On the weekends, they run double features.
Saturday night, Jan and I settled in with lawn chairs and goodies to watch Kung-fu Panda and Indiana Jones. Not a bad combo for $6.
Kung-fu Panda was 90 minutes of chuckles and clean entertainment for kids and adults who are young at heart. Although I would not say it is worth full price to see a 90 minute film, it was just fine as part of a double feature, and when it comes out on DVD, it will be a keeper.
Indiana Jones was a little bit of a let-down. It came across as a valiant, but futile attempt to recapture old glories. Harrison Ford is really getting age on him and it shows. It was worth the price of the movie, but I won't buy the DVD unless it is for purposes of completing the Indiana Jones collection. In my opinion, all the Indiana Jones films fall short of Raiders of the Lost Ark.
