Benji asks:
If the bible is nor true is a lie and lying is sin in the bible.. thoughts?

Hmm

My answer:
Each and every event which is recorded in the Bible which can be verified against other records has been shown to be literally or figuratively true.
This is a matter of historical fact.

There are also a number of events and claims in the Bible which can not be verified either because there are no other written records of the time or because there is no physical evidence to support the claim, however, that lack of evidence is not evidence, itself that the claim is false. It is just inconclusive.

The lack of conclusive evidence notwithstanding, we can accept a level of credibility based on those things which can be verified, and a logical argument can be made that because all verifiable records have been shown to be true, it can be assumed that all unverifiable records may also be true in either a literal or metaphorical sense. Whether or not they are remains to be seen, but because of the established credibility we must concede that they might be true.
After that, it becomes a matter of acceptance based on whether or not you are convinced by what you read.
