Yesterday I hooked up with William Parker aka whittling fisher for a trek across the Cohuttas. There were several caches up there that I wanted to nail down.
We started at a graveyard where i picked up a drive-by find, then moved on to "Bear Where". The streams were pretty swollen and crossing them without getting soaked took quite a bit of effort.
We then drove by the starting point for "The Real Empathy Zone" where I did some quick reconnaissance. I didn't want to go too deeply into that one as I was planning on doing that with William Queen aka w27phantom (if his wife ever gives him permission to play hookey).
Whittling Fisher and I then trekked up to "Mountain View", a cache I found back in 2003. but he had not logged it yet. We moved on to "Dyre Gap" (another cemetery) and then "Pony Express" which gave me 4 finds on the day. We ended the day by going up to "Not a Lame Cache". Will had already calculated the location, but had not attempted it since the bridge had reopened.
It was a good day overall.
