On sunday we went to the jewish getto and we managed to go on european jewish culture day so the museum and synagoge was free. So we went into the jewish museum and and saw the synagogue . We then explored the area and came across tyhe fountian delle tartarughe which is my favourite fountain in rome it wasn't overly touristfide and it was quiet and was a really pretty fountain with toutousies, and was really understated which was unusual for rome. We then went on an expedition to find a coffe shop that our tourist book said that jon paul the 2nd went for coffee before he was pope, but cos it was sunday it was closed, so we went back to the vatican so jen could get a bag and endded up going piazza novona.

On monday we went to piazza campo de' in flori where they have a street market I brought some very cool rainbow coloured earings we then went back to the park with out fountain in it for lunch though our fountain wasn't as nice the 2nd time round as it had got scummy. So we explored the park a bit more and came across houses and a theatre and so that was cool. We then went back to the vatican area and had dinner then sat in st peters square and watched the sun set and it was very pretty. On the way back to the b and b was very funny as me and jen hgad gone hyper and we were basically acting drunk before we had any alcohol and we had brought this carton of wine what can i say we are classy girls, and so when back drunk a bit and ended up chatting into the wee hours.

On tuesday we went back to our favourite places so ended up outside the pantheon and the piazza novona for lunch. We then suceeded in finding the pope's coffee shop which was nice but had disappointing icecream. We then went into our building which turned out to be the monument emanuel and tomb of the unknown soilder and then over looked the forum and saw the prison of saint paul. We then went back to san giovanni in laterano as the first time i missed these steps called the scala santa which are apparently were the steps outside pontious piolet house and so jesus had walked up them apparently I'm sceptical apparetnyl constine mother brought them back but its weird here your holiday gift some steps. weird. And you had to crawl up them apparently its some repentance thing but I got the giggles half way up and was trying not to laugh as it was quite serious and felt quite unholy oh well. And then made our way to the airport and home.

Overal the week was great and it was good to spend quality time with Jen and rome is a unique place with loads of art history and churches anyways that the end of the essay
