It's very strange that for the first time in probably years that I actually have a full Friends page on my LJ. Perhaps I shall throw my hat into the fray.
First things first...NYC overnight has turned into the movie "Strange Days". Walking over the BK bridge this morning on this unusually warm November day I saw three helicopters just just hovering over this one particular part of lower Manhattan and there were police outside of City Hall in riot gear. The last time I saw this was earlier this semester when I was deep in Brooklyn watching helicopters circle around a bad neighborhood with search lights going on (I believe there were about 50 shootings that weekend. Strange Days indeed). And as I'm writing this I'm in class and everyone around me is more concerned about which classes they will be taking next semester. I don't get it. This whole Occupy Wall Street thing is seconds away from falling into some big ole riot. People should be more concerned, but what are you going to do about it. Apparently making sure you are in class with your friends and with the right teachers is more important....yikesarooni.
Enough of the political/social rant. I really don't want to become that person. It's stupid when that's all you ever talk about. Luckily I have other interests like talking about the good ole days when I used to give out constant relationship advice. It seems that I have retaken that position again with some of my friends at school. Weird people I hang out with anymore.
Le sigh. Only one more week till Thanksgiving break. I hope my money lasts me till then. I'm so vera hungry.
