So this is the tale of our castaways,
there here for a long long time.
They'll have to make the best of things,
it's an uphill climb...
Come and listen to a story about a man named Jed
A poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed,
Then one day he was shootin at some food,
And up through the ground came a bubblin crude...
I figure since no one hardly reads this blog (yeah maybe one or two of you) that it is a good place to opine about my reflections on eating. ha ha
Actually this is more like a tale of someone who has decided that their belly is too big. What got me? Well I been checking out anorexia sites, well for educational purposes, to see what goes on in their mind. Some people I love have anorexia (how about you?) So all that led to a Body Mass Index calculator...I punched in my height 6' 0" and weight 227 lb and out comes 30.8 ~~~~ So what? Well 30 and over is classified as "obese". Ha ha I can handle "overweight", which is like 25 to 30, but "obese" just doesn't work for me. So I am trying to eat healthier food so I can reduce my wind resistance. I started about two weeks ago and I'm happy to report that Now at 220 lb my BMI is 29.8 and I am no longer "obese" yay. I figure that I have averaged about 1500 calories a day which is about half of what I normally eat. I can tell that my body is hungry sometimes but I eat lots of food...it is just good stuff without many calories.
So the saga continues...come back next time for "The medicinal value of curry powder"
