Matriculation...
I am officially a member of Oxford University! Woke up at an ungodly hour this morning to have photos, and then traipsed to the Sheldonian to be ceremoniously addressed in Latin. After which we went down to a tapas bar in full sub fusc - walking through Cowley in a gown will get you stared at, I soon discovered. The whole day has been really fun, and then we have a black tie do thingy later on tonight.
In order to celebrate properly, I had the mother of all parties in my room last night. Not only did it overspill into the corridor, it was so big that people from other colleges came. I'm now surrounded by sixteen empty bottles of various types of alcohol (Tom says he doesn't remember much, having drank neat gin from the bottle all night I'm not surprised) and my room smells like a sambuca farm (which isn't an entirely bad thing) but it was such a good party!!
Anyhoo, I might have a nap before tonight.
