For this being a short week it still seems like it has been pretty damn long...
Not much more to report on, but I do wanna talk about last night. So I was sitting here at work, talking to Talia, saying I was going to head home soon, around 430. It was about 420, when Chris came in and was like, "you in?" What was I supposed to say?? I mean come on...So we made our trip downstairs and set up. They were like, so 10 dollars or 20 dollars? They all seemed to like 20 dollar buy in so thats what I had to go with. I would usually never spend that much money to play cards, but I have had some good luck playing with these guys. So we played for about an hour and a half. Justinm who is sitting in the cube next to me, went through 50 dollars like nothing. By the end of the night, I was UP 17 dollars, so I couldn't complain. Come to find out, the rest of us all got our money back, and we split Justin's money. Chris took 15 of it, eric took 18 of it, and I took 17 of it. It was a good time. After that I went home had some dinner and Talia wanted to play, so we played again. Apparently my luck had run out, because I got smoked with them.
After that I hit the bed...
Today has been more of the same, I updated a powerpoint presentation, but other than that I have been doing squat. Maybe I'll get some work to do later on in the day...now I'm just looking forward to lunch, which is still almost 2 hours away...
I'm headed home for the weekend, sometime on Saturday, probably morning, to give Talia a ride home. I wanted to go to the NU vs. BU hockey game at Agganis, but they sole out of tickets in a heart beat...Then I was going to go to the UNH game with my family, but realized I would be sitting in a different area, so I think I'm just gonna go home, and veg with the dogs, I haven't seen my boys in a while.
Sunday I am going ice fishing, for only the 3rd time this year. I guess I can't really complain because I am down at school and such...I just wish I could get a little more in...hahahaha, real good story...somehow I just deleted a bunch of my entry...and it brought me back to this point...wtf...at least it will take up more time.
ok...here we go again. We are headed to Lake Nubie. I would spell out the entire thing for you, but I can barely say it, nevermind spell it. It is one of the most gorgeous lakes one will ever see. It's not too big, but the water is Crystal clear, and there is an AMAZING rope swing. I took Mark and Heather up there either last summer or the summer before, and they had a great time. MY boat isn't the biggest or fastest by any means, but it gets the wind blowing through your hair, and mostimportantly...gets us to that rope swing!! The trick is finding a day to go up there, the weather tends to be a little tempermental. The wind always seems to be blowing, but if it is sunny out, then you don't really notice it. We picked the PERFECT day last year (or the year before). On top of it being gorgeou out, we got to see the eagles that were living there, who also just had babies! And the neavers were out and about by their HUGE den. I guess there is also this little dam area that you can take a little hike up to, but I have yet to do that, so that could be part of my next trip. My uncle or great uncle has a house that looks over the lake, it is gorgeous. So we usually take a quick trip by, park at his dock and say hello. Last time I was there, we actually stopped and ate our lunches with them. My grandparents had shown up as well. It was cool because after lunch we headed over to the rope swing, and they went and did some fishing. While we were at the rope swing some other people came over...these people had to have been at LEAST in their 40's! It was awesome! So we did that for a lil bit and then layed in the sun on the boat before heading home for the day.
I love going off into these huge tangents once I start a simple little story...
Ok, I've typed WAY more than I planned on, so I am going to sit around some more and wait for that clock to hit 12.
Later Dudes and Dudettes!
