yesterday while en-queue at the post office, I watched as a guy drove his oh-so-gigantic, air-polluting, world-destroying, 3-feet-in-between-the-driver-and-passenger-seats HUMMER into a parking spot(s).

as I was walking out, I politely tapped him on the shoulder and said, excuse me, sir, but you're killing the earth. I just wanted you to know that and walked out. it was beautiful.

and then today while walking home from school I spent the remainder of my money (ten bucks). five of it went toward flowers for my grandmother, and five to a bum pushing his shopping cart down the sidewalk (he didn't ask, I just gave it to him).

days like these remind me of how much I rule (to be frank), yet also seem to reinforce the incredible sense of isolation I so often feel from the rest of the world. doesn't anyone else see what's going on here??? we're spiralling toward self-destruction, the human race as a whole...
